Financial Accountability & Integrity

We take the stewardship of resources that God has given us very seriously and strive to maintain a passionate observance of biblical principles when it comes to personal AND church finances. We are a church with a proven track record of effective ministry and a reputation for genuine and extravagant generosity.

1. WE OPERATE ON A WRITTEN YEARLY BUDGET

Our yearly budget is reviewed annually and approved by a board of elders. Any spending outside the annual budget must be approved.

2. WE value FINANCIAL INTEGRITY

Both internal controls and independent CPA compilations have given City Church a spotless 19- year record of wisely stewarding funds.

3. WE HAVE A HISTORY OF WISE SAVING AND CAREFUL SPENDING

In the 20 years of our church we have never ended a fiscal year in the red. We have also developed a habit of saving toward contingency funds, as well as saving towards specific goals.

4. WE SET ALL STAFF SALARIES BY BALANCING GENEROSITY AND WISDOM

In setting staff salaries we follow the guidelines of “The Compensation Handbook for Church Staff” and all salaries are set by an outside advisory team.

5. WE HAVE A REPUTATION FOR GENEROSITY IN OUR COMMUNITY AND INTERNATIONALLY

At least 10% of our annual budget goes towards outreach and missions. We are honored to be able to meet needs in our community through our food pantry, annual school supplies giveaway, laundry parties, feeding the homeless, campus outreaches, international partnerships and more.
